I had been looking for a long time to personalise writing paper as I started up this letter writing hobby but I wanted something truly unique to me which was a symbol of a dragon next to a symbol of the sun. These have personal significance and obviously you cannot buy these off the shelf.
I enquired at all the major luxury stationary houses and aside from being daunting (I don’t come from a luxury background) i was told it was either not possible or the price was way too high. Then I stumbled across London Letters and I liked the look and style and more importantly it is INDEPENDENT. I took a punt.., and what a pleasure. The answer was YES this is possible. I had to pay for a customised block to be made (to my exact specification most importantly) which is to be expected and more than reasonable; more importantly this was communicated from the beginning and there were no hidden costs or nasty surprises (which was what I was afraid of). I was also able to specify exactly how this was going to look on the page before the final product was made. Communication was stellar throughout making sure everything was perfect for me. Considering this was a custom job my 100 pages of hand pressed writing paper was with me within 10 working days. I couldn’t quite believe that. I also now have a customised block at London letters ready to go for future purchases!
Now the product. I couldn’t quite believe that what I had pictured in my mind was now in my hands and it’s not possible to be happier with the results. The quality of the paper, envelopes and of course the finishing of the symbols in lovely gold foil is superb. And arguably the most import thing - the paper is fountain pen friendly and writes a dream!!
