Becoming an ambassador for From Me To You

I’m so happy to share some very special news with you - I've recently been invited to become an official ambassador for the wonderful UK charity From Me To You. It’s a real honour, and one that feels incredibly personal.

If you’re not yet familiar with their work, From Me To You is a charity that encourages people to write handwritten letters to those living with cancer. These aren’t clinical letters or messages about treatment - they’re thoughtful, gentle distractions. Stories. Encouragement. A friendly hello. A reminder that someone out there is thinking of them.

In a world that often values speed over substance, and connection via screen more than pen and paper, the mission of From Me To You feels more meaningful than ever. A letter arriving unexpectedly, written by a stranger with kindness in their heart, can be a much-needed moment of comfort during incredibly difficult times.

I’ve been quietly writing letters for the charity for a little while now. Taking a few moments each month to sit with a cup of tea, gather my thoughts, and send a note to someone I’ll never meet, but who I hope will feel seen. And now, as an ambassador, I’m beyond excited to help spread the word and invite more people to take part.

Each month, the charity sends hundreds of handwritten letters to hospitals and individuals across the country. Earlier this year, From Me To You was even recognised by the Prince and Princess of Wales for their extraordinary work - such a touching tribute to the founders and their vision.

If you'd like to get involved, becoming a letter-writer is easy and truly rewarding. You don’t need to be a professional writer - just someone with a little time and a big heart. You can learn more and sign up here.

I’ll be sharing more about the charity and ways to support it through London Letters over the coming months. Whether you join the community of writers, spread the word, or simply take a moment to reflect on the power of connection, it all makes a difference.

Thank you, as always, for being here. It means the world.
With love and in letters,

Jennifer
