The term “our online services” refers to www.thelondonletters.com website, our desktop, mobile and tablet applications, our pages on third party social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest and any other websites or apps we own or run from time to time. The term “our services” refers to our online services and any of our other products and services, such workshops and events, offered from time to time. If you use any of our services, we will refer to you using the terms “user”, “visitor”, “you”, “your”, “yours” in this policy.

We respect the privacy rights of our visitors and recognise the importance of protecting the information collected about them. This privacy policy is about how we collect, store, and use the personal information that you provide to us.

We do not save payment card details or share, sell or lease your personal data except where detailed in this Privacy Policy.

At all times, we will offer you the opportunity to unsubscribe from any service or update to which you have subscribed, if you change your mind. Whenever you receive direct marketing from us, we will tell you how to unsubscribe.

General enquiries by email or via our ‘Contact Us’ form are processed by our customer service team internally. We work with certain 3rdparty service provider partners for the above-mentioned purposes only. Our service providers use your data solely to operate the services we ask them to perform and act in compliance with applicable privacy laws and take the confidentiality of your data as seriously as we do.

Our newsletter subscriber database is managed by Mailchimp. If you choose to subscribe to our email newsletter, you can change your mind and unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails. 

Our online services are hosted and provided by Shopify. If you set up an account with us, this information will be visible to Shopify. 

Customer order data including email address, geographical data associated with orders can be accessed by our accountant and business consultants (details available on request) and may use it for our internal business purposes which may include financial reporting and analysis, strategic planning, research and analytics, to help us source the right products in future and make better product recommendations. These parties are bound by our privacy and data protection commitments detailed in this policy.

When you browse any website, by default your computing device will also send information to us, such as your IP address and other device specific information in order to enable the website to function as it should. However, this only identifies devices not the people who use them. Google Analytics collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns to help us improve visitor experience Cookies also enable us to improve the usability of our website. Along the way, server administrators can read what you send and we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur whilst data is being transferred.

We collect and use third parties to collect and share with us, information from lots of visitors to our online services and analyse it to build up a picture of how people use our websites. This helps us improve the services we offer.
