PEN PAL CLUB SAFETY & COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
London Letters Pen Pal Club – Safety and Community Guidelines
1. Introduction
The London Letters Pen Pal Club (“the Club”) provides an introduction service for individuals who wish to exchange correspondence with others who share an interest in letter writing. By joining the Club, you agree that participation is entirely voluntary and that you are solely responsible for all communications and relationships you choose to engage in as a result of your membership.
The Club facilitates introductions only. We do not verify the identity, background, or intentions of members beyond the information they provide, nor do we monitor correspondence between members once contact has been made.
By participating in the Club, you accept full responsibility for any and all interactions, correspondence, or relationships that arise and agree that the Club, its owner(s), and any representatives shall bear no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any loss, harm, or damages of any kind arising directly or indirectly from your participation.

2. Respectful Conduct
All members are expected to conduct themselves with courtesy, respect, and integrity. Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
The Club reserves the right to remove any member at its sole discretion, without notice, if behaviour is deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or inconsistent with these guidelines.
________________________________
3. Privacy and Information Sharing
The decision to share your personal or correspondence address is entirely your own.
The Club will never share your address or contact details with other members. We act solely as an introduction service by forwarding initial communications.
Once you choose to exchange addresses or correspondence directly with another member, all such interactions are at your own discretion and risk.
Members must not share or publish another member’s address or personal details without their explicit consent.
________________________________
4. Safety and Personal Responsibility
Always exercise caution and good judgment when corresponding with others.
Do not share financial, identifying, or highly personal information with anyone you do not know and trust.
The Club strongly advises against sending money, gifts, or valuables to other members.
If at any time you feel uncomfortable with a pen pal, you are encouraged to cease communication immediately and notify the Club.
The Club may, at its discretion, review complaints or concerns but is under no obligation to mediate or intervene in private correspondence between members.
________________________________
5. Authenticity and Representation
All biographies and correspondence must be written personally and truthfully by the member.
The use of AI-generated, copied, or false content is not permitted.
Members are expected to represent themselves honestly and in good faith.
________________________________
6. Boundaries and Consent
Participation in the Club does not entitle any member to ongoing communication from others.
You must respect all personal boundaries and immediately discontinue contact if requested.
The Club is not a dating, matchmaking, or personal advertising service. Members must not use it for romantic, commercial, or solicitation purposes.
________________________________
7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
By joining the London Letters Pen Pal Club, you acknowledge and agree that:
The Club’s role is limited to sharing member biographies via its mailing list to facilitate voluntary correspondence.
The Club does not conduct background checks or verify the information provided by members.
The Club, its owner(s), and any associated persons accept no responsibility or liability for any actions, outcomes, or consequences resulting from introductions made through the Club.
All participation, communication, and exchange of personal information or correspondence are undertaken at your own risk.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Club and its representatives against any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from your participation.
