Letter Writing Prompt - Autumn
Each month we share a letter writing prompt to encourage you to put pen to paper more often.
A little suggestion of what you could write about, to get your creative juices flowing, and allow you to enjoy a relaxing mindful moment of writing.
There is a seasonal shift in the air. The grass is dry, the temperature is cooling, the days feel a little shorter, and the leaves are ever so slightly starting to change colour. It can mean one thing only – autumn is on its way.
Many of us struggle with saying goodbye to summer. We wait so patiently for its arrival, and then in the blink of an eye, the tides have changed. But there is so much beauty to look forward to in autumn. There is warmth and colour, there are crunchy walks to be had, hot chocolates to be drunk and cosy nights in to be declared. There is quiet in autumn, and through the rustle of the trees, a calm is there to be discovered.
This September, perhaps you could write to a loved one and fix a date for a walk in the woodlands, or write a batch of letters to some friends and invite them over for a cosy movie night? Maybe you could pop a tea bag in with your letters and invite your recipients to warm up and enjoy their brew whilst they read your words?
