Letter Writing Prompt - Bonfire & Fireworks Night
Each month we share a letter writing prompt to encourage you to put pen to paper more often.
A little suggestion of what you could write about, to get your creative juices flowing, and allow you to enjoy a relaxing mindful moment of writing.
This month, your letter writing prompt is Bonfire & Fireworks Night.
Now that the buzz of spooky season has calmed down, it’s time to snuggle up and look forward to the celebrations over the weeks to come. Fireworks night is the perfect introduction to this, easing us in gently to a season of fun, parties, celebrations, glitter and sparkle – all kicking off with a big colourful bang.
Use this night as an excuse to scribble down your favourite childhood memories of fireworks displays and write to an old friend you've not been in touch with recently and let them enjoy an unexpected moment of nostalgia through your letter. Or why not write out some invitations to a bonfire night get together and start a new annual tradition? Write out the 'remember, remember' quote on the front, detail your plans for the evening on the inside, and embrace the fun that follows.
Whatever you have planned this month, I hope you'll enjoy the start of the sparkly season. This year will be the first time since lockdown that most firework displays are taking place again. Try to go along, wrap up warm, support your local community and soak up the happy atmosphere.
Happy writing!
