London Letters on BBC Breakfast
Well, we had a little excitement last week as we received an unexpected inquiry from the BBC Breakfast team!
Pen pals hit the headlines when the BBC interviewed two octogenarians who had been writing letters to one another for over 70 years - sharing all the highs and lows and milestones of their lives through ink and paper. It's a beautiful story that showcases the enduring power the written word has on our relationships.
We headed up to Manchester early last Tuesday to sit on the sofa with Jon and Sally and chat all things letter writing, and why having a pen pal might just be the perfect antidote to the loneliness epidemic we're currently up against.
For those who missed it, you can find the full interview here. And for those who are tempted to sign up for a pen pal of their own, you can head here to learn more about our pen pal clubs.
